The Talks Have Yet to Begin and Already the Blame is on Netanyahu

The Telegraph is up in arms:
Netanyahu sets obstacles to Middle East peace
Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel's prime minister, threw hopes for a smooth resumption of Middle East peace talks into turmoil yesterday by rejecting demands to continue a freeze on settlement building in the West Bank.
So Netanyahu rejected to restore a freeze on the West Bank before talks begin. Now let us not deceive ourselves; we all know where these "talks" will head, but that doesn't matter. What does matter is that Netanyahu is destroying the "peace process" because he refuses to have preconditions and go back on his word and restore the freeze he imposed ten months ago.
This freeze, that the Prime Minister imposed ten months ago, brought nothing out of the Arabs, and yet, NETANYAHU is stalling the "Peace Process."

I also love the gems such as these:
...chief negotiator Saeb Erekat linked the success of the discussions with a continuation of the building freeze. "If the Israeli government decides to announce new tenders on September 26th, then we won't be able to continue with the talks," he warned
It's so interesting how the talks are the important thing.
Recently I have been reading many articles that compared the "Peace Process" to a theater. Namely, this excellent article by Caroline Glick. This statement corroborates those articles perfectly. It reminds me of a Father telling his children, "If you aren't good we can't go to the play." And of course the UN wants to watch the play; so its members constantly push Israel to give in to demands of the Arabs in order that the play will go on.
