Even I didn't grasp what is out there. A recommended watch.

Left Covers Up Raping and Sexual Abuse of Women Activists by Arabs

I found this (not) funny piece today.
As reported by Arutzsheva:
Two activists have exposed a disturbing phenomenon that they say is an open secret within the “peace camp”: female “peace” activists are routinely harassed and raped by the Arabs of Judea and Samaria with whom they have come to identify. They say the phenomenon has gotten worse lately and that many foreign women end up as wives of local Arabs against their will, but cannot escape their new homes.
Roni Aloni Sedovnik, a feminist activist, penned an article in News1 – an independent website run by respected investigative reporter Yoav Yitzchak – under the heading “The Left's Betrayal of Female Peace Activists Who were Sexually Assaulted.”
“A nauseous atrocity has been going on for a long time behind the scenes at the leftists' demonstration at Bil'in, Naalin and Sheikh Jarrah [Shimon HaTzaddik],” she writes. “A dark secret that threatens to smash the basic ideological values upon which the demand to end the occupation of the Territories rests.”
It turns out, she explains, that when female peace activists from Israel and abroad come out to Judea and Samaria and demonstrate against the Israeli “occupation,” they are assaulted sexually by the Arab men whom they have come to help. These are not isolated incidents, Aloni-Sedovnik stresses. Rather, this is an “ongoing and widespread” phenomenon that includes verbal and physical abuse. She accuses the 'peace' camp of purposely covering up the trend so as not to offend “the Palestinians and their heritage, which sees women as sexual objects.”
How far does the idiocy in the "peace camp" go?

Update: I looked up  the references made in the article and they checked out (except for Yehuda Bello who I couldn't find). Here are their links:

Just for Laughs, but it Really Isn't Funny

  • From New American Media, an Expose on the Would-Be Chicago Bomber

    New American Media reports:

CHICAGO—A Lebanese citizen with U.S. residency was arrested by federal authorities Monday in what is being described as a bizarre attempt to influence the city’s politics through violence and terrorism.
The suspect, Sami Samir Hassoun, 22, who lives in Little Arabia on Chicago’s Northwest side, alleged placed what he believed to be a remote-controlled detonation bomb in a backpack in a garbage can at a busy intersection of nightclubs near Wrigley Field (Cubs Park), one of the city’s two baseball stadiums.
Hassoun had also considered other bombing targets including the Sears (Willis) Tower, poisoning the city’s water system and trying to assassinate Chicago’s mayor, Richard M. Daley, according to information released by the FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s office.
This paper fails to mention that he was trying to wage Jihad. Taken from Atlasshrugs.com:
"HASSOUN,  according to a law enforcement source close to this author, is a “devout Muslim and permanent legal resident from Lebanon.” He appeared on the radar screen of federal authorities in early June, when he solicited assistance and advice from associates to “wage jihad on the streets of America.”
Let's continue in the NAM article:

But Hassoun’s downfall apparently was also the result of his friendship with an American Arab who was secretly working as an undercover source for the FBI. The unnamed individual contacted the FBI last year after Hassoun told him of his intentions. FBI involvement helped insure that instead of placing a real bomb in the backpack, a non-explosive device was used instead.
FBI Special Agent in Charge Robert Grant and U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald said Hassoun told the FBI informant he was upset with Mayor Daley and Chicago politics. He said he felt the city did not have enough security and he wanted to teach Daley a lesson.
Daley, who is on a business mission to China, and the city have come under criticism in recent months by activists angry over Chicago’s relationship with Israel.
Hassoun told the source in Arabic that he wanted to “make a statement” without hurting anyone. But his intentions allegedly changed. The source contacted the FBI, and Hassoun was then introduced to two Arabic-speaking professionals, also believed to be undercover FBI agents of American-Arab heritage, who told him they, too, wanted to commit an act of violence in the United States.
See how the paper is trying to make this seem racial? Religion isn't mentioned once in this article. Not only that, was Hassoun part of a security firm. This whole piece is trash. Let's pick it apart.
    1) The article only mentions Lebanese citizen who made contact with an American Arab.
    2) Where does the idea of security come in line with killing Mayor Daley? If you are trying to send a message, do you kill the recipient?
    3) And the paper somehow sticks Israel into the mess. Don't ask me how. It doesn't make sense to me either.
    4) "He wanted to make a statement without hurting anyone"...it doesn't say "originally", it says "he wanted to make a statement without hurting anyone". Can we have his original ideas please?
    5) "Hassoun told the source in Arabic that he wanted to “make a statement” without hurting anyone. But his intentions allegedly changed." What! Allegedly???!!! He tried to blow up a busy intersection by Wrigley Field!
I cannot continue. Read it yourself here. but I would like to add that the article ends with a disclaimer:
Community leaders said that in the event that the terrorist act had occurred, victims would likely have included American Arabs and Muslims.
So they want you to know that Muslims would have been part of those victims, so it couldn't have been done in the name of Islam.

Mark Mandell Asks the Question I Asked a Month Ago

Mark Mandell (BBC) asks whether the sanctions are actually working on Iran.

Mark Mardell | 01:47 UK time, Tuesday, 21 September 2010
If it's not hurting, it's not working. But does the US government really think the economic sanctions against Iran are painful enough to make them abandon what the West believes is a quest for nuclear weapons?
President Obama is expected to use his speech to the United Nations on Thursday to stress that it's not America that has a quarrel with Iran, it is the whole international community. According to one senior administration official he'll make it clear, as he did last year at the same time, that "the door is open to engagement".
"The door is open to them having a better relationship with the United States and with the international community," the official said. "However, in order to walk through that door, Iran is going to have to demonstrate its commitment to show its peaceful intent around its nuclear program and to meet its obligations to the international community."
Honestly, can we get better officials next time?

Elder Of Ziyon Takes on M. Shahid Alam, a Professor in Northeastern U.

Of course it's never hard to take on such things when the obvious answer is right there. But it was done wonderfully. If you want to see the whole thing, including the quote from M Shahid, click here. Here is Elder of Ziyon's take:

Alam's entire thesis rests on one simple lie: that Zionism is colonialism. Once that idea is accepted, then he must jump through ridiculous hoops to figure out why these powerful Zionist Jews from Europe and the US - so powerful that they couldn't convince their host countries to bomb the railroad lines to Auschwitz - managed to take poor, homeless, oppressed immigrants and place them as white interlopers into an Arab nation and force them to stay while under daily attack by Arabs.
Not even once does Alam consider that the Jews themselves had a millenia-long connection to their own homeland. Never does Alam entertain the notion that only a people who feel connected to the land will fight to the death for it; while the Arab inhabitants who never considered themselves "Palestinian" had much less incentive to stay and fight rather than emigrate to one of the many other Arab countries that they had traversed for centuries.
The anti-Israel crowd will never get it because they don't want to admit that Jews do have a deep, emotional connection to the Land of Israel. French people never wanted to live in Algeria, Italians never yearned for Libya and British never pined for Kenya. But Jews have prayed to return to Zion - daily - since Biblical times. But accepting that Jews are a nation means that Jews have the right to self-determination - anathema to academic fakes like Alam.
This is the "simple answer" that eludes genteel anti-semites like Alam. Accepting that Jews are a nation and are not just a religious group would upset his entire edifice of Zionism as colonialism. Instead he constructs a bizarre scenario, with zero proof: a story of outsized Jewish influence in the West in the 19th and early 20th centuries, where the stupid Westerners were manipulated by clever powerful Jews into supporting a national movement that, according to Alam, was against their own interests!
This pseudo-intellectual is forced to downplay or ignore innate cultural, historic and religious Jewish ties to Israel - all because he wants the world to accept the lie of Zionist as colonialist.

    Just Watch It

Pamela has it right; EVERY time. And this was taped in 2009. Still rings true today.
    Choice quotes:
Do you know he bowed to the violent Saudi King? Do you know the historical implications of that? An American president bowing to a violent king?
He appointed Harold Cho as legal counsel at the state department… Now, I know he went to yale. I know he’s a smart guy, but smart don’t mean right. I know plenty of Ivy Leagers that, frankly, are idiots.
This country’s in trouble…There are so many things happening on so many levels, it’s hard to get your arms around.
I worry about the Jihad in America. I don’t worry about the devotion of the enemy, I worry about the confusion on our side.
The media has abdicated its role as a public servant, they have now become, in my opinion, a criminal organization.
Can you show me one time when the government does anything better than private enterprise? Ever?
I think the future is in the blogs. The media is dead they’ve lost all credibility.
They [the government campaign for healthcare] have it down to a science.
(Even during the campaign [for presidency], Obama received money from Gaza. Anyway it’s illegal to accept foreign money, but you are accepting it from Jihadis!?)
CAIR receives money from Saudi Arabia, so they will sue you… (They tried to sue me, yeah…)
If anything Europe is a warning for us.
The list goes on. regardless it's a recommended watch.

Vote for the US to Stop Participating in the UNHRC!

Youcut, a program set up by the GOP to stop nonsensical spending has cuts for the UNHRC up. This is what they have to say about it.

Eliminate Funding for the U.N. Human Rights Council
Saves taxpayers $15 million over ten years
Recent attention has focused on the United States new membership in the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC). The Obama Administration decided to join the Council even though the previous Administration declined to do so because of the Council’s checkered membership and record. Because the Council does not have strict membership criteria, countries with records of human rights violations are allowed to join – and pass judgment on other countries. For example, in the recently completed 2010 election for Council membership several states with questionable human rights records were elected, including: Libya, Angola, Malaysia, Thailand, Uganda, Mauritania, and Qatar. Membership has also included Cuba and Saudi Arabia. In addition, the UNHRC has historically abdicated its responsibility to be an effective human rights advocate choosing instead to focus most of its attention condemning the State of Israel. To compound matters, the Administration recently sent to the Council information about state-adopted immigration laws for their consideration in judging the U.S.’s human rights record. It is estimated that the U.S. share of the Council’s budget is $1.5 million or more a year.

Michael Vick, Author of Time Magazine's "Why Israel Doesn't Want Peace" Visits Judea and Samaria (the WB)

In a continuation of the saga on the Time headline story, (which I cannot bear to repeat anymore), Michael Vick visited the area which many claim as "The Obstacle to Peace" (meant to be said in loud echoing voice)
    Arutzsheva reports:
...Vick was promptly invited, by no less than the new head of the Council of Judea and Samaria (Moetzet Yesha) , Naftali Bennett. for a personally guided VIP tour of the Shomron to see “the facts on the ground” for himself.
David Haivri, head of the Shomron International Liaison Office, who accompanied Vick at the start of  the tour, commented to Israelnationalnews, ”Vick clearly came to learn, he really listened and asked interested questions” .
Continuing to the nearby  Barkan Industrial Park, Vick met and spoke freely with some of the 5000 Arab workers employed at the park and heard about their lives, what they think of the present situation and the prospects for peace, He saw Jews and Arabs working side by side in production lines.
The tour went on to Ariel, a thriving city of 17000 Israelis, many of them immigrants from Russia. but recently in the news when a group of leftist Israeli actors announced a much publicized boycott of its new Cultural Center. The town is home to many expellees from the Gush Katif "disengagement" expulsion, some still in temporary caravans due to the building freeze.
At Ariel University Center. University President, former MK Yigal Cohen Orgad, showed the visitor  the new free electron laser unit that is being used in various types of scientific research.  Bennett told Israelnationalnews that Vick admitted never imagining this level of research equipment  in the Shomron. "It is clear", Bennett continued, " that Vick also never imagined that the Shomron is home to so  many secular, kippa less Israelis. The picture painted in the media is that of an area  of 'fanatically religious Jewish extremists'.
At Eli, site of the pre Army yeshiva (Mechina) from which Roi Klein and other IDF heroes stemmed, he met with Danny Dayan, outgoing head of the Judea and Samaria Council, spoke to residents and went on to meet a fresh group of recent immigrants from France whose new baby was just born in Israel,  The Shilo vineyards and the view of the Jordan Valley from a lookout point, followed by the archaeological excavations of the Israelites Biblical Tabernacle at Shiloh completed the day .
"Vick could not help but notice  the vast open and untouched spaces between all the communities in the Shomron, Jewish and Arab, and how the Israeli presence does not encroach on Arab villages or agriculture", said Bennett. "It is obvious that there is enough room for all of us and for Jewish expansion."
"I wasn’t aware of all  this”, Vick commented, explaining that he did not write the headline for his article and that editing had made the article seem more critical than he meant it to be. He is considering a sequel to it.
Maybe it will look something like this one?

Neah, won't get my hopes up. More likely, why Israel doesn't want peace and then some. But hey! Miracles can happen!

    Clinton Critiques the "Peace Talks"

United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton comments on the "Peace Process". Arutzsheva reports:
“I really admire the way they got right into it,” Clinton said of the latest meeting between Netanyahu and Abbas, earlier this week. There were no agreements reached, she said, but there were “very difficult and intense negotiations on all of the core issues.”
She really sounds like she's critiquing a show.

Mark Gold of the Jewish Press Asks Whether Rabbi Ovadia is the Only Jewish Leader who Reads the Jewish Prayer Books

    Mark Gold writes:

Rabbi Ovadia Yosef's ill wishes toward Israel's Palestinian Arab enemies, including the Palestinian Authority and its Holocaust-denier president, elicited disdain and disavowals from much of the leadership of Israel and the Jewish world.
Rabbi Ovadia's "words do not reflect the approach of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, nor the position of the government of Israel," the Prime Minister's Office said in a statement.
The Rabbinical Assembly, the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, the Jewish Theological Assembly and related groups said, "As leaders of the Conservative/Masorti movement, we deplore these recent comments of former Chief Sephardic Rabbi Ovadia Yosef."
ADL National Director Abe Foxman said, "We are outraged by the offensive and incendiary comments made by Rav Ovadia Yosef." And the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations added, "We are disturbed by the reported comments of Rabbi Ovadia Yosef."
Why these entities and eminences have reacted this way is an interesting question - even putting aside the paternalistic attitude of superiority so commonly used to justify ignoring the constant barrage of hate and incitement to genocide emanating from many of Israel enemies. And that vitriol is not voiced by individuals but promulgated by governments and leaders, including Israel's purported "partners for peace."
I was gratified to learn I am not the only one who found the situation peculiar. In a letter published on the Jerusalem Post's website, Chana Pinto accurately and articulately pointed out that in our prayers, Jews beseech God to defeat our enemies. For example, the Amida includes "Frustrate the hopes of those who malign us" and "Let all your enemies be speedily destroyed."
So is Rabbi Ovadia Yosef the only prominent Jew who reads the prayer book? Can Jewish leaders be fairly likened to America's legislators who now routinely pass multi-thousand page bills without reading them or knowing what is in them, much less understanding and reflecting on their implications?
Or is it that other Jewish leaders are aware of their prayers but Rabbi Yosef is the only one who means it when he says them? If they are so offended by their own prayers, they should change them. If Obama and his Democrats can ram through their unwanted legislation, perhaps these Jewish leaders can change the prayers to be more consonant with their political and worldly sensibilities

Look! Look! More Virgins for "Martyrs"

    Arutzsheva reports:

Palestinian Authority Hamas legislative Speaker Ahmad Bahr has updated from 72 to 2.5 million the number of virgins waiting for “martyrs” upon their arrival  “in the Garden of Eden.”
In a recent speech translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), Bahr, who is the speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council, said the “palace” where the virgins are waiting can be entered “only by prophets, by the righteous, and by martyrs."
Most Muslim preachers and politicians have used the expression "72 virgins” to encourage Arab youth to be ready to die in anti-Israeli terrorist attacks and suicide bombings. Bahr’s new arithmetic reasons, "In the Garden of Eden, there is a palace... with 500 gates. At every gate, there are 5,000 black-eyed virgins. Brothers, 500 multiplied by 5,000 is 2.5 million."
Well, with such a reward, who would pass up death for life?

I wonder whether the Arabs are buying into this. I know that if somebody were to up a promised reward I would start realizing that somebody is pulling a con. So is the Arab publics' faith trembling?

Comparing the Stories between AFP and Arutzsheva

In order for people to really see the whole picture, you have to hear both sides. So I figured that I would post the same story. One by extreme left AFP and another by extreme right Arutzsheva. AFP first:

JERUSALEM (AFP) – The Israeli military has failed to investigate its forces for killing dozens of Palestinian civilians in recent years, spawning a climate of impunity, a human rights group said on Tuesday.
"Soldiers who kill Palestinians in the occupied territories are almost never held accountable, even if the circumstances raise a grave suspicion that they acted criminally," the Israeli group B'Tselem said.
"This policy permits soldiers and officers to act in violation of the law, encourages a trigger-happy attitude and shows a flagrant disregard for human life," it added.
B'Tselem said that from 2006 to 2009 the military had opened investigations into just 23 of 148 cases submitted by the group. The cases concern the killing of 288 civilians.
Another 41 of the cases were dismissed, while the military has yet to issue any decision on the remaining 84. No criminal charges have been brought in any of the cases, B'Tselem said.
During the period in question Israeli troops killed 1,510 Palestinians, including 617 civilians, the group said.
The figures do not include the December 2008 to January 2009 war in Gaza, in which more than 1,400 Palestinians were killed.
     (Read the whole thing here.)
    Now Arutzsheva:
B'tselem, a group that specializes in accusing the IDF of abusing Arabs, published a report Tuesday that rehashes accusations it has made in the past, just in time for the start of 'peace' talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. The B'tselem report accuses the IDF of failing to investigate most of the alleged cases of abuse that B'tselem has filed complaints about.

In a reaction to the report, the IDF pointed out that most of the cases it details were already enumerated in a High Court motion filed earlier in the year by B'tselem, a motion which the IDF has responded to and is awaiting a judicial decision.
B'tselem is funded by the New Israel Fund, which is a strategic partner of the Ford Foundation.
The report was widely quoted in the Israeli and Arab press, and by news outlets in Iran, the US, Britain and the rest of the world. It adorned news pages alongside reports about the summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, presumably playing into the hands of the PA, which demands Israel cease the “occupation” of Judea and Samaria.
"Most of the subjects and the claims raised in the B'tselem report are currently pending in the High Court, in a motion the group has filed on this subject,” the IDF Spokesman said. “The state has filed a comprehensive response to these claims as part of its reply to the motion and it seems the organization would do well to await a High Court decision.”
Arutz Sheva went over the list of individual cases enumerated by B'tselem and found that in some of them, the investigation is ongoing and B'tselem was made aware of this, and in others the IDF has indeed looked into B'tselem's accusations and found them to be unsubstantiated.

Backspin on the Difference in Portrayal of Hamas Soldiers and Israeli Soldiers

Backspin does an amazing job of showing the differences between how the media portrays Israeli soldiers vs. Hamas. Read it here.

AP Shows How Headlines and Story Do Not Need to Match

    to this first paragraph
TEHRAN, Iran – Iran's nuclear chief said Tuesday the head of a U.N. watchdog agency made a dangerous mistake by criticizing Tehran for not fully cooperating
Wow! What a difference! Where the headline seems to be saying that Iran is merely saying that the UN made a mistake, but they are willing work with the UN, the paragraph shows us how Iran is, in fact, threatening the UN!

AP: Continuing to Spread the Myth of Islamaphobia

AP is continuing to spread the Islamaphobia Myth. In today's article, explaining how non-Muslim Americans misunderstand Muslim Americans, based on the fact that the perception Americans see of Islam revolves around the "few extremists", the article claims foul. Now, as they say, let's go to the script:
NEW YORK – Nine years of denouncing terrorism, of praying side-by-side with Jews and Christians, of insisting "I'm American, too." None of it could stop a season of hate against Muslims that made for an especially fraught Sept. 11. Now, Muslims are asking why their efforts to be accepted in the United States have been so easily thwarted.
I already have problems with this opening paragraph:
    1) How come I haven't read/ heard these calls denouncing terrorism.
    2) This "season of hate" has been shown to be fictitious. As the LA times reported (and ElderofZiyon shows the graphs), while hate crimes against Muslims rose tremendously after 9/11, they dropped tremendously the year after, and hovered around 100 ever since. This is in stark contrast to anti-Jewish hate crimes which, after 9/11, were twice as much as anti-Muslim hate crimes, and are currently around 6 times as much as anti-Muslim hate crimes.
    3) As far as I am concerned, the Muslims never made any efforts to be accepted into the US.
4)As far as I know, the Muslim population, like any other religion, is accepted in the US.

Then we have a quote from an Imam:
"We have nothing to apologize for, we have nothing to fear, we have nothing to be ashamed of, we have nothing that we're guilty of — but we need to be out there and we need to express this," said Imam Mohammed Ibn Faqih in a sermon at the Islamic Institute of Orange County in Anaheim, Calif., the day before the 9/11 anniversary.
I would disagree with this statement also, and the fact the the journalist didn't jump on this is appalling. Of course you have something to be ashamed of! Be ashamed that you are associated with these people who do violent crimes in the name of your religion! Be ashamed that the perpetrators of 9/11 did so in the name of your religion! Be ashamed, not for your own actions, but the actions of others in the name of the religion you adhere to!
But he's right, also. He has nothing to fear. The Muslims in America have nothing to fear, because freedom to practice your religion is something that Americans respect, and those that are, in fact, afraid of Islam, will do nothing violent against them. These citizens who fear the spread of Islam will raise the awareness of the other citizens to the actions of Muslims in America, but will not raise their hands against them in intolerance.
Images of violence overseas in the name of Islam have come to define the faith for many non-Muslims at home. The U.S. remains at war in Afghanistan, and although America has formally declared an end to its combat operations in Iraq, U.S. troops there continue to fight alongside Iraqi forces.
Darn right, like these images of Arab Muslims celebrating 9/11!
Some U.S. Muslims say their national organizations share the blame, for answering intricate questions about Islam with platitudes, and failing to fully examine the potential for extremism within their communities. Muslim leaders often respond when terrorists strike by saying Islam is a "religion of peace" that has no role in the violence instead of confronting the legitimate concerns of other Americans, these Muslim critics say.
I like that. Some, not all, Muslims understand the reason behind the understanding of the American public.
U.S. Muslim condemnations of terrorism have failed to persuade other Americans.
This year, in response to recent cases of young Americans lured into jihadist movements by Internet preaching, nine prominent U.S. Muslim scholars made a YouTube video denouncing radicalism. Other American Islamic scholars have written edicts, or fatwas, saying violence is contrary to Islamic teaching. The Islamic Society of North America dedicated its 2005 annual convention, which draws tens of thousands of Muslims, to fighting terrorism and extremism.
I haven't checked up on this. But I think that even if it is true, Americans are only seeing a minority of people associated with Islam as non-violent.
However, suspicion persists among other Americans that Muslims say one thing in public and something different among themselves. U.S. Muslim groups that still accept foreign funding are the most vulnerable to this charge. Many critics, within and outside the Muslim community, also find the condemnations so broad that they are meaningless since they rarely denounce specific terrorist groups, including al-Qaida.
Absolutely perfect. I love truthful statements. Repeatedly we have seen lying Muslims and their right to lie, so kudos to this author for getting it right.

Then we have a series of non-sequiturs to end off the article...
It doesn't help that many of the statements against violence are delivered in heavily accented English at a time of heightened anti-immigrant feeling in the United States.
"I think that part of the reason the general American public is not listening is the common human impulse to fear and mistrust what we don't know or understand," said Abdullahi An-Na'im, an expert in Islam and human rights at Emory University School of Law.
Throughout the recent anti-Muslim outburst, American Muslim leaders have taken pains to acknowledge that many in their community have prospered in the U.S., and that Muslims have more freedom here than they would in many other countries.
At the same time, fatigue is setting in. They wonder: How many more times will they have to condemn violent extremism before non-Muslim Americans believe them?
And I'll end off with all my responses to the above statements.
    1) Anti- Immigrant feeling has nothing to do with the righteous fear of many Americans. What we see happening to Europe and the way Muslim countries act does.
    2) In response to Abdullahi An-Na'im's statement, see above sentence.
3)Yup, Muslims have it better in America. But they have it better in Israel, too, and look at what happens there.
    4) Muslims, all Muslims, must stand up and denounce violent crimes against humanity, including those happening in Israel, every time that such an act is commited

(Read the whole Associated Press article here.)

Update: I found a video where Muslims say they have it better in America than anywhere else...but after you see it, continue watching:(about 2:09 in)

Daled Amos posted this great article....

And I just couldn't pass up on reposting a nice portion of it here. To see it all click on this link.

President Obama, in a private conference call Wednesday, told an audience of Jewish leaders to discount non-constructive statements made by Israeli and Palestinian leaders as Middle East peace talks move forward, saying that such remarks are all part of the negotiating game.
The groups represented on the call were from across the Jewish religious spectrum: They included the orthodox Rabbinical Council of America, the conservative Rabbinical Assembly, the reform Central Conference of American Rabbis, and the reconstructionist Rabbinical Association.

Obama implored the rabbis on the call to publicly support the talks, and to try to rally their own people to support the negotiations. The call was timed in advance of the start of the Jewish high holy days, when the Rabbis see the largest turnout of the year among their congregants. Along those lines, he asked them to discount statements by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu or Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas when they say things in public that make the talks seem doomed. That's mainly for the local television cameras, Obama said.
I don't know--are you sure we shouldn't be applying this advice to what Obama says as well?
"What you're going to see over the next several months is that at any given moment, either President Abbas or Prime Minister Netanyahu may end up saying certain things for domestic consumption, for their constituencies and so forth, that may not be as reflective of that spirit of compromise we would like to see. Well, that's the nature of these talks," Obama said.
These talks, or the way negotiations are done in general?
Anyway, so when Abbas says, "I can’t allow myself to make even one concession," we should not pay any attention, because he is just saying that for the sake of the Arabs in the West Bank?
So really, Abbas actually is willing to make compromises?
    Good to know!
Boy, is the Arab world in for a shock, hee-hee
What else will this unfortunate president say? But hey guys, welcome to the Peace Process where comedy is playing 24 hours 7 days a week! Just don't knock your head on the way out.

    Shana Tova To All

Here's a little videa from Latma:

So Abbas Caught Some Guys: Says They Killed Settlers

So the PA, headed by Abbas, caught some guys...

RAMALLAH, Palestinian Territories (AFP) – The Palestinian Authority has arrested several Hamas members for organizing and carrying out two recent attacks on Israeli settlers, a senior official said on Tuesday.
    However...
The Palestinian security official, speaking to AFP on condition of anonymity, said that two groups had been arrested but did not specify exactly how many members of the Islamist movement were under arrest.
    And The Great BHO said...
US President Barack Obama has branded the attack on two couples, including a pregnant woman, as "senseless slaughter," and warned about "extremists and rejectionists who, rather than seeking peace, are going to be seeking destruction.
"The message should go out to Hamas and everybody else who is taking credit for these heinous crimes that this is not going to stop us from not only ensuring a secure Israel, but also securing a longer-lasting peace in which people throughout the region can take a different course," he said.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu branded the killings "savagery and brutality."
And a lot of nonsense to finish up...
Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas said the September attack in Kiryat Arba, a West Bank settlement, was intended to "disrupt the political process."
Hamas, which rules Gaza, is opposed to the peace talks and is a rival of Abbas's US-backed Palestinian Authority.
     Just some questions:
    1) How do they know/we know that the PA caught the men for carrying out the attacks? Maybe they caught these people because they side with Hamas, the PA's major rival and winner of the previous elections in that area. Maybe this is purely political to say, "See? We want peace."
    2) Why is this official talking on condition of anonymity? Maybe it's because the Arab populace will lynch him for catching their heroes.
    3) Why don't we get the number of men involved? Perhaps so the story cannot possibly be disproven.
4)Why on earth  is the US[eless] President Obama saying "instead of seeking peace, are going to be seeking destruction?
5)Why is the above president talking about peace when he should be focusing on the deaths?
    6) Why does AFP talk nonsense?

    Correcting AFP Article

    I saw this AFP article

Palestinians, Israelis doubt talks but collapse unlikely

And decided that it should probably be changed

Palestinians, Israelis doubt talks; collapse likely

There! Now that looks like it might be right.

AFP is at it Again: Standing up For Those Arab Rights

Why do all the best news topics come out when I'm about to log off?
Anyway, AFP reports on how Arabs aren't getting preferential treatment.
The report, posted online at www.acri.org.il, said police rarely investigate incidents in which Jewish settlers harass or assault Palestinians[Arabs] and that when they do they frequently blame the victims of such attacks.
Maybe because they have evidence showing that the Arabs instigated it and lay the blame on the victim, hmm.?You know, like this case?

Among several cases the group documented is that of Ahmad Qaraen, who was crippled after being shot in both legs by an off-duty Israeli soldier after intervening in a confrontation between the soldier and his sons last September.
The soldier also shot a 15-year-old boy in the leg during the incident, but was detained for just 24 hours after telling Israeli police that he shot Qaraen in self-defence after the Arab tried to steal his M-16 assault rifle
I love how they can report as fact the Arab side, and practically disregard the Israeli Officer's side.
And of course, the article had to throw this part in:
Israel occupied east Jerusalem in the 1967 Middle East war and annexed it to its capital in a move not recognised by the international community.
Every single article that tries to discredit the Jewish presence in Israel, since the Arabs claim for Jerusalem actually received credence, (Just about every single one, I think) mentions this "fact." A "fact" that became "fact" as recently as these past few years. Until then, every single newspaper recognized Jerusalem as completely Israeli, though the Arabs did claim it during that time.
Well, until next time, (tomorrow most likely) Finding Pro-Arab Media Bias is signing off.

Minister in Gaza Calls for Israeli Correspondants to Give Themselves In

    As reported from Ma'an:
The Ministry of Interior, through the national campaign against phone calls with the occupation, declared open the door of repentance to clients and collaborators with the occupation during the last period, which began on May 8, 2010 and ended on July 10, 2010, prompting many customers who were deceived them to surrender to the internal security and the declaration of repentance
This was after they caught a few. And they showed this picture with the article.
Forgive me if I take the report that a few handed themselves in, and the idea that anyone would hand themselves in, with nice lump of salt.

    (Read it all here.)

62.02 percent of Al-Ayyam's Readers Intend to Vote int the Next Election

Well, I was lazing around on the Al-Ayyam site and came upon this.
Why this interested me, I have no Idea. But here is the poll they took!

Al-Ayyam Complaining that Israel Tried to Prevent Flow of Arabs to Jerusalem

Al-Ayyam is not happy that Israel has checkpoints up, and is claiming that through this, Israel limited their access to Jerusalem.
The crossings and checkpoints established on the main entrances of the city of Jerusalem has Hchudat large and long queues of people waiting for permission to pass through these crossings and access to the "maximum" to revive much of the night in it
Despite all the measures of the occupation that you try to reduce the flow of worshipers to "maximum",
I assume "maximum" is Al Aqsa
but more than a quarter of a million people have succeeded...
Wow! With all that determination to stop the Arabs, 250 thousand still managed to make it through. You know, I never heard that many Jews managing to pass through Arab territory to get to Holy Sites. Usually only a few hundred, at most, manage to pass through.
    Yet,
In any case ... Return "maximum" a few days later to complain about the lack of patrons due to the policies of occupation
Here is the article written in Arabic.

Update: Maan news reported on a similar vein but did not report about any complaints, just that Israeli police were regulating traffic to Al-Aksa.

Huffington Post Monitor Gives the Anti-Semite's Excuses

Huffington Post Monitor provided a list of excuses for those who wish to find them.

The way that you use this list is simple. Just start from the top and go down. If you get proved wrong on one, just substitute another and keep right on going! If you are skilled enough, you will never have to condemn Palestinian violence ever again!

    1. "They were settlers, so they had it coming." [Obviously, only applies if the victims are settlers.]
    2. "Well settlements exist in the WB, so what were they expecting." [If they aren't.]
    3. "It was because this one settler killed this a Palestinian four years ago."
    4. "It was because of new settlement construction six months ago."
    5. "It's because of the security fence, which has existed for six years."
    6. "It's because of the occupation, which has existed for 43."
    7. "It's because Israel fought a war against Gaza last year."
    8. "It's because the Palestinains were made refugees sixty years ago."
    9. "It's because Israel is a Jewish state and not a state for the Palestinians too."
    10. "It's because Israel stole Palestinian land."
    11. "It's because the Jews are foreign invaders who should go back to Europe."
Don't you love how easy it is!

    FM Lieberman Has it Perfectly

What if we sign with Abu Mazen [Abbas] and Hamas takes over?” he[Lieberman] asked.
What better question is there? We are sitting down with an enemy of the State of Israel to make peace. What if we actually succeed in these peace talks? We have no proof that Abbas will be able to maintain power.

    Kenneth O'Keefe Calls BBC's Panorama a Lie

So Kenneth O'Keefe is saying that the BBC's panorama is a lie.
I am one of the passengers/witnesses interviewed for this program and I am very much aware of BBC’s role in justifying war and covering up Israeli crimes.  I am in no way naive about this; to the contrary my motivation for the interview lay largely in the all too likely opportunity to expose the BBC.
With this understanding I solicited an agreement with the BBC producers, in return for my interview the program would include the fact that we disarmed, captured and ultimately released three Israeli commandos (after giving them medical attention no less).  That was the deal, a deal I made with an audio recorder in service.
He posts this link so you can hear it:
    http://www.facebook.com/1worldcitizen#!/video/video.php?v=1440199638883
This link takes us to this page:

    He then continues:

And yes the poor Israeli commandos were beaten, just as any invader in any capable persons home would be beaten.  I take no issue with that fact.
But truth be told, the commandos we captured should thank us for their lives.
So you beat them and they should thank you for their lives. Beautiful. Let's continue.
And so it is that the BBC, absent of integrity, contemptuous of humanity, attempts in this program to turn disarmed, helpless Israeli commandos into heroic self-rescuing commandos who managed to Superman their way out of a circle of well over 100 very motivated men whose brothers lay murdered with multiple gunshot wounds.  That is what we call a bald-faced lie.  Big time lie, in your face lie, you in the audience are a bunch of drooling idiots lie.
Because he is so powerful and:
Yet when others and myself had the power to end life, and believe me it was as simple as release the safety, point, shoot, over.  Instead we preserved life, by taking those weapons away from established killers, we prevented them from killing more.  We literally saved our lives and their lives.  That is what we call cold, hard facts.
We could have taken out at least three of them, but we did not.  Nope, we let them go.
Yet the fact that the other ships docked relatively uneventfully goes unnoticed by this idiot.

You can read it all at ElderofZiyon's link. I won't post directly to the Ken's blog.

Oh! And here is an interview Latma had with Kenneth O'Keefe. You might enjoy it.

    (H/t ElderofZiyon for this article)

Telegraph of UK Writes Twisted Logic

I was getting ready to log off when this headline caught my eye:

In the Middle East, murder is sometimes a reason for hope
Wow! That one is new! One of the lowest acts that a human could do is a reason for hope! Let's see what the author, Mr. Richard Spencer, has to say:

I have never been much of an optimist over the Middle East peace talks. Apart from the transient appearance of an accord in 1993, most rounds of negotiation seem to have been mere shows, undertaken for short-term political gains by one or other of the parties (including the Americans).
The Camp David discussions in the dying days of the Clinton presidency are the exception that proves the rule. Ehud Barak was unable to come up with concessions that the Palestinians could accept, for various reasons, some valid, some less so. And it is hard to see how any of Barak’s successors, least of all Benjamin Netanyahu, was ever, or is now, going to go even as far as he did. A negotiation that – so Mr Netanyahu says – cannot address the fate of East Jerusalem and must accept Israel as an entity solely defined by an ethnicity not shared by all its citizens is limited in its prospects.
Alright, so a lot of fluff and gander, that meant absolutely nothing, takes up the first two paragraphs. But it's the third that shows how deluded this man, who is hailed as one of the Telegraph's correspondent to the Middle East, is.
Events of this week have, however, made me strangely more optimistic. There was something so brutal, even for Hamas, about its assassination of four civilian settlers, and more particularly the glee with which it claimed responsibility, that I wondered if it wasn’t seriously rattled.
Really, so brutal about killing 4 civilians tha hamas is rattled? He obviously never saw the result of a suicide bombing, which attacks more than just 4 unarmed civilians, or for that matter, an earlier shooting of civilians or axing of civilians by those Arabs living in Israel. Not to mention, the lynching of, lost, off duty. reserve soldiers by the PA in 2000, where the soldiers' entrails were dragged through the streets; and the PA is the moderate government.
Also, when does glee ever go with seriously rattled?
He then continues to blah and blah. You can read it all here if you wish (I recommend you sit when you do.)

Thankfully the comments weren't as moronic (at least not at this time.):

Utter nonsense. Hamas is not "seriously rattled" at all. It is its standard operating practice to kill Israeli civilians at all times, and especially when peace talks are taking place. When Israel began its withdrawal from Gaza, Hamas committed several acts of vicious murder, the most heinous being the slaughter of Tali Hatuel - 9 months pregnant like this week's victim - and her 4 children by shooting them all dead at point blank range in their car. Hamas were not "serious rattled" then - indeed they were trying to promote a portrait of their victory, that it was their actions that had driven Israel out - and they are not "seriously rattled" now.

The only thing that will seriously rattle Hamas is Israeli housing construction, especially in Judea and Samaria, which is why the construction freeze must end.
     Kudos, my dear sir, kudos.

Civilians in Israel Take the Initiative in Protecting Jewish Travelers

    As reported by ArutzSheva:
A Jewish civilian patrol will begin Thursday night on Judea and Samaria roads. The patrol began its work shortly after two terrorist shooting attacks, one near Hevron and one in the Binyamin region, in which four people were murdered and two wounded.
The civilian patrol initiative is backed by the Binyamin and Samaria Residents Councils. Those taking turns on patrol are former combat soldiers and IDF reservists; all will be armed with guns and will carry medical supplies.
The Residents Councils called on all Jewish towns in Judea and Samaria to send units made up of civilian reservists out to patrol local roads on a regular basis.
Binyamin Residents Council head Yitzchak Shedmi, a former IDF commander, explained that the civilian patrols aim to augment the security provided by the IDF. The IDF has been weakened by recent political concessions, he said, “They've reduced the number of troops in the region because they trust Abu Mazen's [PA Chairman Abbas – ed.] soldiers.”
Civilians “can provide medical care, or assist in defense, and can respond more quickly than the army,” he continued. The patrol units will inform the IDF of their plans before beginning their route, he said.
Samaria Residents Council head Benny Katzover head Defense Minister Ehud Barak responsible for the need to provide additional security on Judea and Samaria roads. “Due to the Defense Minister's irresponsible behavior in recent months, including taking down checkpoints and reducing the number of IDF troops... there has been a serious downturn in the security situation,” he said.
So since their government has failed to protect them, the Jews in Israel decided to take the initiative and set up patrols to prevent another attack, or be prepared when another one happens. Why does it seem the "Extreme Right" that "undermine the Peace Talks" are the only sensible ones?

    Islamization of Paris

I got this video from CBN sent to me by "ACT for America". This is the transcript of the video (minus the heading)

'Islamization' of Paris a Warning to the West

PARIS - Friday in Paris. A hidden camera shows streets blocked by huge crowds of Muslim worshippers and enforced by a private security force.
This is all illegal in France: the public worship, the blocked streets, and the private security. But the police have been ordered not to intervene.
It shows that even though some in the French government want to get tough with Muslims and ban the burqa, other parts of the French government continue to give Islam a privileged status.
An ordinary French citizen who has been watching the Islamization of Paris decided that the world needed to see what was happening to his city. He used a hidden camera to start posting videos on YouTube. His life has been threatened and so he uses the alias of "Maxime Lepante. "
Lepante has observed cars coming from other parts of Paris, and he believes it is a weekly display of growing Muslim power.
"They are coming there to show that they can take over some French streets to show that they can conquer a part of the French territory," he said.
Muslims are said to be no more than 10 percent of the French population...
"We were expecting Islam to adapt to France and it is France adapting to Islam," Robin said.

Yet the French newspapers (AFP at least) still attacks Israel. I mean, come on! The French populace sees what Islam is all about! So why would they agree with the Muslim States attacking Israel? I guess the hatred for Jews just runs too deep for sense to make a stand.

Proud Zionist: Peace-Yearning Palestinians Murder Four Israelis

Arabs Celebrating the Murder of Pregnant Woman and 3 Others

I really didn't want to post this, purely because I am disgusted enough with these monsters as is. But I realized that if I want the news spread, I must spread it myself; and show my outrage and disgust for such actions. So I copied these pictures from Vicious Babushka, another blog worth reading, and made some modifications to the captions(all of the captions mentioned "peace talks" and I felt it took away from the real message that should be conveyed. Also read about the funeral, and the neglect of the media to cover the funeral, of these murdered Israelis, by VB.)
    August 31, 2010
Also see Elder of Ziyon on how we should expect more attacks after another shooting that wounded two. (I wonder, is Abbas laughing at the fact that Jews were killed or crying because it was Hamas that killed the Jews and not the PLO)
